ATU MyCareerPath recently delivered a webinar in partnership with the Open Doors Initiative, designed to support individuals in exploring education, training, and career development opportunities.
Maura Fallon, Career and Learning Pathways Advisor, and Bridie Killoran, Career and Learning Pathways Manager at MyCareerPath, introduced the MyCareerPath platform and demonstrated the range of tools and resources available to support informed education and career planning.
They were joined by ATU colleagues Sarah Best and Louis Walsh, who provided an overview of flexible learning opportunities at Atlantic Technological University (ATU), including online part-time courses, Springboard+ programmes, micro-credentials, and postgraduate study options.
ATU’s Myra Feely outlined the benefits of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and how it can help learners gain formal recognition for existing skills, knowledge, and experience. Pauline Dillon from GRETB also showcased the supports available through Education and Training Boards (ETBs), highlighting apprenticeships and Tertiary Degree programmes as alternative routes to further education and employment.
The webinar generated significant interest, with almost 130 registrations and more than 60 attendees participating on the day, reflecting a strong appetite for accessible information on education and career pathways.
